German Car Registration for France Residents
As a French resident you can register a car in Germany without moving. Model A puts our Brandenburg UG on the Fahrzeugbrief as keeper (~5 business days); Model B registers the car in your own name using an apostilled French passport, a notarised procuration and proof of French residency. Both stay legal under FZV and carry EU-wide Green Card cover through AXA or Zurich.

Yes — a French resident driving a foreign-plated vehicle habitually in France can be required to register it in France. If you plan to base the car in France year-round, this route is not for you. If the car lives primarily in Germany (with our storage) and you use it for European trips, it is a documented, lawful setup.
Can Model B replace an SIV Carte Grise?
No — Model B gives you a German Fahrzeugschein/-brief. It is a separate registration, not a substitute for a French carte grise if you also want a French-registered car.
